I’ve had a long, complicated relationship with photography. As a teenager, I hijacked my dad’s Pentax SLR and would dabble about with it from time to time. Later in my 20’s, I experimented with dark room techniques and printing. It wasn’t until much later, in my mid 30’s, that I developed an affinity for photography that still burns bright.
I’ve dabbled in many types of photography – portrait, landscape/architecture, sports, music, etc. But I keep coming back to street photography as my main inspiration. There’s an honesty to street photography that is inherit in the art form itself. It captures the essence of the moment, the subject and the environment.
I’m currently working on my first volume of street photography shots, culminated from my travels around the US, Japan, Ireland and England.
